Reflex Security Adds Phishing Protection to Interceptor™ Intrusion Prevention Solution

ATLANTA -- January 5, 2005 -- Reflex Security, a leading provider of intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that it has extended the capabilities of its Interceptor™ intrusion prevention solution to protect organizations from phishing attacks.

Phishing is a rapidly growing form of online identity theft that uses email fraud from an authentic looking source, such as a bank, credit card company or online retailer, and directs users to a fraudulent web site with text, logos and web address that all appear legitimate. Users are typically asked to verify immediately personal financial information, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers and passwords, so as to avoid adverse consequences.
